Even with a number of new cars having more of the exterior painted than ever, there is still a lot of rubber, plastic and trim that starts to fade and age fast.
Keeping your exterior trim looking black or grey and beautiful is difficult with the harsh Australian sun and its damaging rays. In addition road grim, tar, white polish stains and bugs are all factors that ‘age’ your trim fast and leave a faded or whitish appearance spoiling the overall appearance of your car.
Some products on the market make the trim look great for a few days but after the first wash or rain shower they are back and looking bad again. Don’t waste your time and money, go for a product that lasts and offers great results.
303 Aerospace Protectant offers the ultimate in sun protection, especially for newer plastics, adding depth to the colour and protecting it from the UV rays, thus slowing the ageing process dramatically. The added benefit is that 303 Protectant can be used on all interior plastics including your console and dash, protecting them as well.
Autoglym Bumper Care is a great product to use, it is a gel that is easily wiped over the surface. It deepens the colour slightly while offering better protection that lasts longer than any off the shelf spray.
Black WOW is a unique dressing and protection for all exterior plastic trim colours. This product transforms old or faded trim, imparting a rich, dark finish that lasts for months between applications even when the car is washed or in the rain.
Forever Black Bumper & Trim is another option for faded trim because it actually dyes the plastic back to black. It comes with a cleaner that removes old polish and dirt, while the Re-conditioner liquid is then applied via a sponge applicator to the trim to add colour and depth back to older plastic trim and vinyl. Forever Black is semi-permanent and lasts for many washes, it is only suitable for black trim though.
So with so many good ways to protect and beautify your exterior trim and plastics why wait till they are in need of rescue, start today and keep them looking new for longer.
