Soft and Supple

It is a beautiful, expensive and luxurious material but Leather is natural and just like your skin it appreciates being cared for. The Australian climate is one of the harshest on earth with hot temperatures and humidity, not to mention extreme UV rays.

Whether your leather is nice and new and you would like to keep it this way or it is looking a little sad, dirty or wrinkled and you need to clean and revive it we have a huge range of products.

Firstly you need to clean the leather to remove not only the dirt or grime you can see, but the dirt that is embedded in the pores and grain. This can be done with any of our range of Leather Cleaners combined with either a nice soft Microfibre cloth or for more intense cleaning power, perhaps a soft bristled Leather Brush. Some older or really dirty leathers may take 2 or even 3 cleans to remove all of the dirt but make sure you do, otherwise the next stage (conditioning) will not work properly.

Then just like your skin, the leather needs to be nourished. Our range of Leather Conditioners will feed and moisturise your leather, adding essential oils to keep it supple and protect against cracking. These conditioners vary slightly but if you want one the smells like leather try Duragloss Leather Conditioner or Zaino Z10. Or if you need something to completely revive old, tired or very dry leather then the Leatherirque Leather System is probably the best option especially for older hides.

For complete solutions the Autoglym Leather System is great value for money, the Duragloss or Zaino Systems offer an excellent, complete solution with applicators and cloths or for the top of the range then the Swissvax Leather Care Kit features a range of top quality items.

As for timing, it is never too soon. For daily drivers it is suggested to clean and condition every 3-6 months while garaged weekenders probably will only need the treatment every 6-12 months. But whatever you have make sure you protect your investment before it is too late and automotive plastic surgery is required!
