Opening in Sydney on Thursday 9th October is the 2008 “Australian International Motor Show”. However this year the halls might not be as full of gleaming new cars and models as previous shows.

It has been reported that over 20 motor manufacturers may well be missing the show this year including big brands such as:

Alfa Romeo

Aston Martin

Audi

Bentley

BMW

Fiat

Jaguar

Land Rover

Mercedes Benz

Porsche

Rolls Royce

Saab

Some of these are star brands such as Aston Martin, Bentley and Rolls Royce offer big ‘draw-card’ attraction and their absence will take the shine off the show.

Let’s hope the organisers from both the Sydney and Melbourne shows get their act together and have alternating shows that will showcase all the motoring marquees, offering value for both manufacturers and enthusiasts alike.
